Why We Built This Site
Michigan makes a great deal of court and agency information available, and the hard part is knowing which office holds the piece you need. A warrant does not live in one place. The court that signs an order controls the charge, the bond, and any recall. The Sheriff serves the order and can speak to custody. A bench warrant from a missed court date stays with the judge who set the case, and a city ordinance warrant still belongs to the District Court even though a city officer wrote the citation.
Two features of this county make the routing harder than it looks. No county office publishes a browsable warrant list, so there is no single place to look, and the 78th District Court covers both Newaygo and Lake Counties, so an old file may not be where a reader expects. A person can check one office, find nothing, and assume the matter is closed. We put the contact details, search steps, court roles, and request routes in one place, with a note on what each office can and cannot answer.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Michigan court, the Newaygo County Sheriff, or any state agency. The limits on what we can help with are real:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether an order exists for anyone
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear an order on any system
- We cannot post bond or accept any payment toward a court matter
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a walk-through at the jail
- We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or court line on this site is current today
Only the court that signed an order or the Sheriff's office that holds it can confirm whether it exists and whether it has been recalled or cleared. We can point you to the right office, and the answer has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site carry search boxes run by outside providers. Those companies set their own prices and run their own services. When a visitor uses one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee, and that revenue helps keep this site free to read. We do not control what those tools charge or what they return, and their results are not an official warrant check.
